A delicious take on the classic margarita - featuring juicy, fresh melon.
1/2 cup (118 ml) honeydew melon purée (use blender or muddler)
1 oz (30 ml) blanco tequila (I used Casamigos)
1/2 oz (15 ml) Cointreau
1/2 oz (15 ml) fresh lime juice
1/4 oz (7.5 ml) agave syrup
ice cubes, for shaking
Zest your lime. Cut it in half and juice it. Reserve the rind for the next step.
Rim: Mix lime zest with equal amounts of salt and sugar in a shallow dish. Wipe the rim of the glass with your lime rind to moisten it, then dip the glass into the sugar+salt mixture to rim it.
Add all margarita ingredients into cocktail shaker with some ice cubes. Shake for about 30 seconds to make it cloudy and pretty.
Strain the cocktail into the prepared glass.
